Breaking news: I feel my long stretch of unemployment may finally be coming to an end. While paying for my ticket to see Bruce Almighty (a worthy movie), I saw a sign in the Cinemark's box office window announcing their willingness to accept part-time applications. Movie theater work may not be glorious, but I've a few reasons for seeking this employer's good graces. The first: I need a job. The second: the movie-related perks. The third: I saw a beautiful girl with arresting eyes working there.

I have my "freshman orientation" at CSU the 25th of June. The only real benefits of such an arduous thing are the registering and placement exams, so I plan on ditching the bulk of it. Some fair maiden may charm me into staying, but I'm not holding my breath.

I've also decided to re-enter the local shotokan dojo. I'm rather unhappy with myself for lacking the fortitude necessary to attain a black belt, so I aim to correct the error. In addition, I plan to buy a daisho (a pair of Japanese swords) and a book on ken-jutsu, the art of the sword. My inner dork demands complete and utter satisfaction in this, and I've found it's best not to deny him.
